The Struggle of consistency

We all want to make changes in our lives, but it can be hard to stay consistent. Whether we're trying to lose weight, get healthier, or improve our relationships, we often find ourselves giving up after a few weeks or months.


There are a few reasons why we struggle to be consistent


First, we often set unrealistic goals for ourselves. We want to lose 10 pounds in a week or run a marathon without any training. When we don't immediately see results, we get discouraged and give up.


Second, we don't have a strong enough support system. When we're trying to make a change, it's helpful to have people who are rooting for us and who can help us stay motivated. But if we're trying to do it all on our own, it's much harder to stick with it.


Finally, we don't always have the right mindset. We may be afraid of failure, or we may not believe in ourselves enough. When we have negative thoughts, it's hard to stay positive and motivated.


So, how can we overcome these challenges and make lasting changes? Here are a few tips:


  • Set realistic goals. Don't try to do too much too soon. Start with small, achievable goals that you can build on over time.
  • Find a support network. Find people who can support you on your journey. This could be friends, family, a therapist, or a support group. I’ll cover this in a bit more detail later. 
  • Change your mindset. Believe in yourself and your ability to make change. Focus on the positive and don't be afraid to fail.
  • Make it fun. Find ways to make your journey enjoyable. This will help you stay motivated and on track.


Consistency is key to making lasting change. If you can stay consistent with your efforts, you will eventually reach your goals. So don't give up! Keep going and you will succeed.

A support network can be a game-changer when you're trying to make a change. Here are some of the benefits of having a support network:


  • Constant support and communication. Having someone to talk to about your goals and challenges can be incredibly helpful. Your support network can provide you with constant support and encouragement, and they can help you stay accountable.
  • Improved self-esteem. Being around positive people who believe in you can help you improve your self-esteem. This can make it easier to stay motivated and on track with your goals.
  • Making the process fun. Sharing your journey with others can make it more fun and enjoyable. You can motivate each other and celebrate your successes together.
  • Ensuring that the changes you make become habit. When you have a support network, you're more likely to stick with your changes because you have people to hold you accountable. This can help you make the changes you want to make a part of your lifestyle.
